Even if it's late, I can't resist doing a favorite outfits round-up from last year! I love doing these posts. Since most of my outfits are tied to events & seasons of life, it's a great way to look back on the year as a whole, not just what I was wearing for it. And I always use it as a chance for self-study, of how my style has shifted in the last year. And I always say the same thing in this intro ;)
Read on for my favorite outfits of 2018, and click through to see the full outfit posts. (Outfits L-R.)

Golden Hour | This outfit feels totally Nashville, but in a dressed up way. I was also very excited to shoot in front of this Kacey Musgraves album mural, since it was the soundtrack to the year.
Priya's Technicolor Dreamcoat | This might be my single favorite of the year? I'm still dying to wear color, and this, in my mind, was the perfect way to wear this Madewell dress - open over a jumpsuit!Blush Jean Baby | Dresses & sneaks! This was also my birthday dress for 27.

Smocks & Sneaks | If I had a signature look from 2018, it might be a smock dress & tennis shoes. So trendy & comfy! I love this dress and can't wait to break it out as soon as it warms up.
You Are a Kaleidoscope | Just a few 2018 staples in one look: ripped tee, suede mini, pointy booties.
Pale Ale Porter Stout | Forever looking for new ways to wear my favorite t-shirt! This formula isn't new, but these velvet tuxedo trousers <3 are! I finally found the tuxedo trousers of my dreams (and got them tailored to fit me perfectly, which felt like an adult milestone.)

You Can Wear Metallic Pants, 2 | Another outfit trend from the year - dresses as tunics! These gold pants are my favorite, but wearing them in a casual way was totally new to me.
Miss New Booties | I always feel like such a schlep dressing for Winter weather, & though this outfit is just all black - I loved it and felt super chic. Plus velvet booties.
botanical bb | Top 3 for the year. This happy floral wrap dress and the shoot around it came together perfectly. Oh! And I had my hair blown out this day, which helped :)

Pumpkined Up Kicks | Again with the smocks & *hi-tops*, a first for me! These became a quick favorite.
Brocade Holiday | I managed to scrounge up ONE holiday look this year! These shorts are one of my favorite pieces in my closet, and I absolutely loved this chic & on trend way to style them.
Three Times a Lady | Isn't it fun when something vintage from your Mom is TOTALLY in style?! This dress and shoot felt so special! This dress silhouette is new to me, but now I can't stop wearing it.
I guess this is the part where I reflect on how my style has changed this year? I would say, my style has shifted in a more "streetwear" direction. But I didn't like, invent that, I think that's largely the trend right now (thanks to "model-off-duty" vibes.) In the same vein, I see more black and less colors/patterns than years past, which I think is also a result of street style tendencies, as well as just plain growing up ! But I did manage to have some fun, and I'm always looking for ways to incorporate color & prints in a way that still feels right for me now, as a 27 year old professional (rainbow Madewell dress, floral Zara wrap dress, striped smock dress.)
What I notice about my favorite looks is how much I love a unconventional statement piece: whether it's a 70' vintage dress from my mom, tailored brocade shorts, gold pleated pants, or platform sneakers. This is definitely something I want to keep in mind as I'm seriously limiting my shopping for new things this year (more on that here.)
I have to give a huge shout-out, always, to Adriane Smith Creative & Miles Price, for taking all my photos! Thanks for making me look good. They are the best and this blog literally would not exist without them.
I think my three overall favorites are Priya's Technicolor Dreamcoat, botanical bb, and Three Times a Lady.
Which looks are your favorite? If you have a post like this, leave me a link, I would love to check it out!
