Am I still posting content from our trip to South Africa because I have more to share, or because I have nothing else prepared to blog about?? You decide!

I promise this is my final outfit from our trip to South Africa last month (full travel diary here, outfit one and outfit two.) I wore this in the middle of the trip, when we spent a few days in Addo National Elephant Park. We stayed in a very practical cottage, but it did have a porch that backed right up against the park (where we took these photos!) We had a lot of porch time, both on ours and our friend's, which had a direct view of a watering hole (first photo below); with binoculars perched, drink in hand, hoping to catch a glimpse of elephants, Kudu, or anything really. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!

The absolute highlight of staying at Addo was the sunset game drive we went on. We loaded onto a safari jeep-bus and spent a couple hours driving through the park, where we saw: so many elephants, a terrifying hyena, lots of Kudu, warthogs, zebras, and even lions! The sunset over the park was absolutely stunning, and the whole team worked really hard to get what I will forever regard as my hallmark Instagram. There is nothing I love more than being appropriately dressed for an activity and I loved my safari outfit so much! Lots more about everything we did on our trip right here.

But back to this outfit - my best strategy for a no buy year has been: buy things the year before, and put them away until the appropriate season arrives. You'll feel like you went shopping when you find brand new stuff!! I had picked up this dress & another one from J.Crew last Summer for next to nothing, and was sooo excited to find them when I started going through my warmer weather stuff to pack for this trip. I live for a tropical print, and it felt kinda perfect for dinner the evening we arrived at the park!

I feel like I have updating to do on current life stuff...soon! Thanks for reading!
