Bus Cas take 1, 2, & 3

I originally wanted to call this post "Business Casual 1, 2, & 3", but I abbreviated it as "Bus Cas" and realized, I did take the bus this week so my outfits have been both business casual and bus cas. And I'm really enjoying it! I have found that my preppy/classy/quirky wardrobe tendencies assimilate perfectly into a businessy wardrobe. And I definitely feel more efficient during the day when I have an outfit that I like.
1. I found this skirt at Local Honey in the sale bin for about $13 and figured, why not? This was my first time wearing it and I absolutely loved it! I just couldn't believe how this random skirt fit so perfectly. Sorry to be that girl. Also, who doens't love some fuschia plaid? Can't say I've ever said that before. The top is a borrowsie/keepsie from my pal Jacqui, thanks girl, it's working wonders. And my new pumps, remember those guys? They're perfect for the office!
 2. This outfit stemmed from a brainstorming session with Hunter. He is as classic as they come (and as country as a mug, whatever that means) and I was ready to pair this shirt (garage sale Brooks Brothers, courtesy of my mom) with something outlandish and fun, translation: something that made Hunter cringe. After going through several combinations involving leopard print, canary yellow, and a green belt, he finally said "Priya, you don't want it to look like your closet threw up on you." Thanks, sweetheart. So I settled for this ultra-preppy ensemble. Felt a little boring but it did feel nice especially paired with the secondhand Sperries (the best kind, thanks sis). I realize the lighting in that first picture is a little weird, see close-up for accurate details.
3. I've never been a huge fan of oxfords, pretty much until this week. Then I realized they are the work version of a t-shirt and go with basically everything. This was a steal (no, literally) from my sister, the skirt is J.Crew via Goodwill, and the shoes are Jessica Simpson via Macy's. This was right after my prepster Thursday and I was eager to get a pop of color into my wardrobe.

What's your favorite business casual look? I've got a lot of days left and would love to try something new!
