hey there! I’m stopping in for a quick outfit post in
between a half-day of work and heading down to Florida to see my brother, Sundar. I only knew for sure this trip was happening
about a week ago, but I’m excited just the same for some quick hangs with my
awesome brother. ok, there may be some ping-pong and steak involved too. we’ll
see.
if this dress looks familiar to you, it’s because I styled
it on the blog as a top previously. I’ve worn it
a few times since and love how effortlessly the print and color makes for an
outfit all on its’ own.
left to right: Vince, Adam, Akiva, Jorma
I wore this a few weeks ago when me, Hunter, and our friend Trace went and saw The Lonely Island at the Belcourt Theater here in town. Vince Vaughn hosted them in a Q&A session between several of their most popular videos. I’m a big fan of Andy Samberg since Hot Rod, and his pals Jorma & Akiva were equally hilarious and likeable. Vince Vaughn made for the coolest, chillest dad-like guy ever which could not have been less of what I was expecting! this was at the end of the Wild West Comedy tour, when Nashville was stormed with some amazing comedic talent. really, I was filled with feelings of “yay Nashville” after going to a variety of fantastic shows in the span of a couple weeks.
making its’ debut on my blog is my black leather jacket!
I’ve really only worn it maybe a handful of times. I don’t know why I have a
hard time styling it, because when I bought it I had myself convinced that I couldn’t live another
day without a moto-style black leather jacket. anyway- what are your tips for
styling a leather jacket? I’ve seen some looks that I loved, so spill stylish
ladies!
and once again, my orange wedges, nothing exciting here, except
for proof that I am definitely alternating between two pairs of wedges as much
as I can this Summer.
and let the Summer adventures continue! wishing you all a
wonderful, warm weekend. thanks for reading along!
oh, and if you’d like to be on speed dial for the
shenanigans of the week’s end (road-trips tend to bring out the best tweeter in me):
@priyapappu or @perfectlypriya or BOTH? have we reached that
level of friendship yet? I think so. see you there!

i am shocked to see that leopard top is actually leopard dress. how do people do that!? i've never been able to make that work. i will never be tired of seeing those shoes. have so much fun in florida! i'm jealous of all the traveling you get to do. that's one of the downfalls of living in the middle of texas--it takes a billion years to get out of the state. woof.

I love putting a leather (or in my case pleather, ha ha) jacket over something that might otherwise look stuffy or frumpy. It helps vintage look modern, and it gives boring outfits an extra zing.
You look lovely in your outfit!! Have a fabulous weekend<3

love this frock, the color and cut of the waist line is glorious :D
So fun that you got to visit your brother - I hope you had an awesome time! I really love the color of this dress - it is a great color on you. And the leather jacket looks awesome.
Also, I kind of love Andy Samberg so I'm a little jealou s:)
I love this look on you Priya!! Those wedges are so fantastic and even though they're super bright, they seem to go perfectly with everything you've worn with them. I love the leopard print on your dress and your black leather jacket adding a bit of edge to your girly dress. I thought for sure I needed a black leather jacket too but I hardly ever wear mine. I want to splurge on the perfect one once I find it but I really should be practicing with my F21 to make sure to get enough use out of it. I tend to wear mine dressed up with my black leather boots. I feel like you can't wear it with sandals for some reason but I'm pretty sure you could pair it with most things. Maybe not shorts but then again, I'm sure you could find a way to rock that too.
I've seen this dress on a few people but like most often things just suit you better tan anyone else. You just make it look so stylish with the wedges and te leather jacket! I love the look on you cool girl!
Have great Wednesday :)
xx
you just need to find a dress with a fitted top, that will snugly tuck into a dress. oh, and a skirt that's not too big. it's actually pretty nice to have another layer under a skirt, like a petticoat or something.
I totally know what you mean about being land-locked! CA is like that so all my life I could never drive out of the state, so now I'm making up for it :)
my case is pleather too! I agree, I need to wear mine more often! that's a fashion challenge for me.
thank youuu Ashely! he was really, down-to-earth, but still naturally funny in person. I'm a fan so that was really great to see.
