So this is Christmas. I've been wanting to post a Twitter thread of holiday songs that "hit different" this year (by the way...if you want real time updates of what is going on in my brain/life, Twitter is the place to go! That's my social media of choice) none more poignant than "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" so this is Christmas, what have you done? Another year over, a new one just begun.

What is there left to say about 2020??  I'm trying to wrap my brain around what I'll look back and remember about this year. I'm getting ready to spend my first ever Christmas in Nashville, as we cancelled plans to be with my family in California. As disappointed & frustrated as I've felt at times, between rescheduling our wedding, feeling like my life is on hold, and everything else, there's been some simple, wonderful moments as well. And while we still aren't sure what will become of our rescheduled wedding celebration, it's like Art said the other day, "Priya, we're already married, and I'm happy!" He's not wrong. Last night I came across this blog post from 2016, outlining my favorite songs of the year, and was SO delighted to listen to them again, realizing it was the soundtrack to us falling in love. Just another reason why I'll probably keep blogging forever.

Anyway, just a few thoughts as the year comes to a close. I was laughing earlier thinking about "year end" blog posts for 2020. Should I share my most-loved sweatpants or favorite songs to cry to?? Haha.

If you're here for the fashion: I bought this skirt at Uniqlo in Tokyo last year (yes, I realize you can shop at Uniqlo anywhere, but our big shopping trip in Shibuya is a really fun memory) then proceeded to never wear it. I couldn't figure out a way to style it that wasn't mega-unflattering (the pockets add some bulk that isn't cute.) Enter: the crop top. When I recently upgraded my basic tees at Target, two simple cropped t-shirts were on my wishlist. They've been my go-to pairing with most everything as a trendy update.

I love this look as a transitional outfit for Fall - and I should mention, Adriane took these photos on the greenway by my house where I've spent a LOT of time - even more over the last nine months - I've always wanted to shoot there and we finally made it happen!

That's all for now, thanks for reading!
