This is not just ANY cute, fun, outfit. This is what I wore as the character of Jane in Tinderella, the film I recently wrote & starred in! I guess I won't get too much into the actual film in this post, since I just did a vlog where I talked a lot about everything - my acting work, my screen-writing debut, the experience of creating a film, behind-the-scenes goodies - oh, and of course, the make-up look I created for the character (that was the main focus of the vlog.) You can view that in this blog post. Also, if you're interested in following along with my acting work, I've been posting more about it on Instagram!

The film is complete and has premiered, and when it's readily available, I'll be sure to share it with you all!

As for this outfit, or, wardrobe, if you will:

I wanted Jane's outfit to be trendy and bright, to match her youth and vibrance. The film takes place over the course of a date filled evening, so it needed to be put together, flattering, and slightly upscale, but not TOO dressy or like she was trying too hard.

I went with jeans I already owned (and that have been a recent favorite - from LOFT) and I was so relieved to find exactly what I was looking for at Zara for the rest of the look. Our Zara in Nashville (!!!!) wild times, y'all. This blouse was so perfect it was like I dreamed it into life, and the shoes were a total whim, but they made me feel like a Barbie! Or Kacey Musgraves! What's the difference?!

I finished off the look with this purse I already owned by ban.do. Btw - I know ban.do has a checkered past at this point but I really, really love their stuff. Recent purchases: my 2022 planner, this graphic tee and this one too (both gifts), a new water bottle, and a weekender bag I'm going to try out. [Here's where I took a long break to shop their 30% off sale - Christmas gifts for me AND others! Here's $10 off your order if you want to shop!!]

I'm writing this post and remembering how this blog has been like a fashion scrapbook for my life, among other things, for the last almost 10 (!) years: like this outfit documenting my solo apartment days, vacation outfits all over the world, like this one in South Africabirthday outfits over the yearsmy Kacey Musgraves Golden Hour inspired look, styling my mom's dress from the 70's, going ~through it~ & buying myself shoes, and loads of outfits from my office days but I feel like this is a good summation. Not to get all ~deep~ but personal style is so intertwined with life, you know? Also I'm sorry to mention this in some form in like every post these days but most days I'm like, why am I still keeping this blog? This ^ is why! Thanks for reading!
