If you've seen me lately, there's a good chance I was wearing these. SHOES!

Who knew at age 30 I would be such an Adidas stan? I was actually on their website for something else entirely (their Marimekko collab which is also so good! I bought this sweatshirt dress and backpack [same print, so I can't wear them together]) and was targeted with these magical shoes. They were essentially an impulse buy BUT I love them and have worn them so much already and always get comments on them, so impulse buys are not always bad! I really love everything about them - the whimsical 70's floral print, the platform sole, the high-top silhouette...should I go on? They are what I would call an "instant outfit maker." I am wearing them in a size 6 (half a size down) and this exact style seems to be really hard to find online without being marked up a TON (I mean, they're worth it) but I also love these high-tops in classic white or a fun velvet

Trainers have had a huge *moment* for the last several years, but I daresay a high-top is the sneaker of the moment. I've experimented wearing these with most things in my closet, even "under" a cropped jean (these specifically) and I love how it looks! This is a combo I would ordinarily think would make me look shorter than normal, but totally works and feels fresh AND stylish AND oh so comfortable.

Here I was thinking this outfit would be completely unseasonable for when I'm posting it, but then it was 60 degrees today.

A black knit dress will always, always have a place in my heart! The silhouettes change over the years (see: swing / babydoll / fitted t-shirt / fit & flare) but what doesn't change is their wearability in a myriad of situations. It's kinda a fool-proof way to look instantly put-together. Looking through my archives for references, I feel like I've had one in every season of life that has been "my favorite thing to wear" at any given time.

This season of life, whatever it is, is now marked by: the oversized black t-shirt dress!! This is a simple, fast-fashion, stretch knit dress that feels surprisingly luxe from a PrettyLittleThing x Molly-Mae collection (I say "a" because now I think she has had several/works for them??) I had never purchased anything from PrettyLittleThing before but I have to say, a collab with an influencer REALLY gets me, and I love Molly-Mae (from Love Island...which I also love, start with her season [5!] if you have never watched it, it's like taking an anthropology course!!) I don't follow her extensively as an influencer but I do really enjoy her YouTube channel and following along with her life that way. Anyway, I purchased a few things from this collab and have really enjoyed them!

By the way - I don't think I ever mentioned specifically on the blog that Kimi featured me in her Working Woman series earlier this year - thanks Kimi!! It pretty accurately captures what my life/work is like right now and how my style reflects that. I (or specifically, Tinderella) also got a shout-out in her recent Link Love post! Kimi's blog is an incredible resource and she has been such an encouragement to me recently 😊😊😊😊be sure and check her out!

I'm not going to even acknowledge that it is basically Christmas yet again...but I'm hoping to share some "wrapping up 2021" thoughts soon. Thanks for reading!
