blogging, the best form of procrastination

This in reference to the three news stories I am supposed to be working on. Feeling a little crummy as of late, and definitely uninspired. This morning I was supposed to go to physics class, but woke up feeling like I was going to die (slight exaggeration, but only slight). I'm not a faker and I really did feel sick, and the internal battle between going to class or going back to bed was hardly a fair fight. When I woke up again, our microwave wasn't working, I still had to do my homework, minor meltdown. Which brings me to now.
None of that really has to do with this post. I wore this outfit two days ago when I was feeling, once again, uninspired. It started without the belt, just whatever, then I was amazed by how much polish and style adding the belt created! Now I feel authentic J.Crew AND this was super comfy.
button-up- thrifted, belt- Huntee's ("It's Dockers!"), shorts- Hollister, shoes- Keds c/o Carina's friend
NEW photo spot! It feels so grungy and metropolitan. Down these stairs is some kind of basement/dungeon/laundry room? Probably in some outfit photos to come.
I was only mildly surprised but still dismayed to find that I use THE SAME BELT HOLE as Hunter would use on this belt. No other comments there.
My favorite physical feature is my nose. Thanks mom.
Hunter really liked this one so there you go. Here I am laughing because my bangs are un-even.

I hope everyone is having a splendid week! And if not, well you're almost done. Thank you for reading.

Sorry to hear you were feeling sick, hope you feel better soon! This outfit is definitely very cute, comfy, and J.Crew-ish (invented word). You are so so pretty ;)

Ugh, I hate those mornings. Feel better! You really do look straight out of a J. Crew catalogue (I might have just figured out the best compliment ever). I can't believe that's Hunter's belt, it's fantastic. And I'm loving the location. Oh and that last photo? Too adorable. You have the best smile and you're crazy about your bangs, they look great.

Thanks for your kind words Marie! I am all for made-up words on my blog! I have like, an entire post about that :D

I've dropped subtle "please re-assure me about my bangs" comments in like the last THREE posts and no one has said anything! I was waiting for ma girlll. Thanks Elana. Def top 5 compliments of my life.

Okay, that last picture is ADORABLE. Seriously.

Also, I used the word "statriotic" (and its offshoot "statriotism") in a recent conversation with some other TKA ladies and they LOVED IT. I gave due credit to you for it. :)

Oh, I remember those days.

Sometimes it's really hard to convince yourself to do that homework.

Or those assignments.

Or THE readings.

Blech, kind of glad it's over--but mostly I still miss it.

Convincing myself to do homework has gotten exponentially harder as school goes on. Glad I'm not the only one! Thanks!
