Reporting to you live from Vol country, East Tennessee, Knoxville!
So I realize I'm still relatively new at blogging (I've had my blog for a total of 4 months, yay!). I also realize I have not done a great job of introducing myself on here, since I kinda jumped in at the beginning, excited to get started. Contrary to popular belief, I DO have a mini-bio on my blog (located on my menu that pops out on the right-hand of the screen...oh the joys of Blogger and limited HTML knowledge). But, I don't think many have actually read that.
All of this to say (forgive me for being absurdly wordy) here's an introduction to ME. I am doing this because a) I love reading about other people, especially when I'm on their blog. b) If you're reading this, you probably already have somewhat of an interest in me. c) I haven't posted much basic information about myself, and I think this is pretty important in connecting with people.
Now presenting, Priya. In a conveniently listed 7 point form. You're welcome.

Now presenting, Priya. In a conveniently listed 7 point form. You're welcome.
1. This is me. Full name: Priya Ann Pappu. My name means "darling" in Sanskrit. Half-Indian (daddy) and half-Finnish (mother). I do not consider myself to be a photogenic person, or one who takes herself too seriously. This is why I make faces in as many pictures as I can. I am newly 21 years old, birthday, June 5th, a Gemini (if you're into that).
2. This is where I am from, the Bay Area, Northern California. Specifically, Santa Clara. I lived here my whole life (in the same house, but fun fact: the hospital I was born in is no longer standing) until I went away to college at 18. California will forever be "home" to me, I love it, and all parts of it: San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo...never ceases to please me when I am home and realize: this place is awesome.
3. This is my family (side note: my mom asked me not to use this picture because it would "ruin" our family Christmas picture. So if you're reading this mom, I'm sorry! This was the only relevant family picture I had!). Because we have a big family where every member is fully involved in their own life, we are rarely all together. But man, I love those times that we are. These are some of my most favorite people in the world! I love being able to call them and laugh and hear about their lives, as well as get relevant advice on nearly everything important: student life, nursing, poker/flying/golf/Marines, fashion/HR, music, football/soccer (in a nutshell, going from oldest to youngest). I did not always (usually not) enjoy being in a big family when I was younger, but now i LOVE it, and look forward to having one of my own one day. But 7? No mom, you are crazy.
4. This is where I've been (primarily) for the past 3 years, Nashville, where I attend Lipscomb University. Yes, I love Nashville. I am a Business Marketing major, Journalism minor, but if I had to name a dream job (besides crayon namer and mattress tester) it would be a writer! Specifically a novelist, specifically a memoir novelist. Since I've been in college I have worked as a: camp counselor, caterer, hall assistant, Donut gal, marketing intern, and now hostess! Graduating (hopefully) in May 2013.
5. This is my boyfriend, Hunter. His is a good face for you to know, because as they say "From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." He is my favorite. I won't bore you with the details, but I will say, he is one of the most hard-working, determined, and caring people I have ever met. He is also quite the opposite of me (which makes me lazy and indifferent?) BUT I am thankful for that, and it leads to many a heated discussion. I am most thankful that he is patient with me. Our two year will be August 24th. But let's face it Huntee, it's been all college long :)
6. These are some of my closest friends. Note: I feel weird even doing this, because I would consider A LOT of people close friends. I love people. And making a new friend is winning to me. I don't want to leave anyone off this list, so it's open-ended. Anyway, these girls (both in Tennessee and California) are the BEST; teaching me, loving me, supporting me, and laughing with me. I wouldn't be me if it weren't for them.
7. These are some of my favorite things: purple. cupcakes. journaling. reading. glitter. polka-dots. writing. date night. slipper socks. tea. floral. walks. the beach. bike riding.
This is my quest, to be good to people, find joy in everything I do, and have a relationship with the one bigger than me. This is me!
If you made it through this post, you have satisfied the requirement. Let's be best friends.

love this. love you.
I love getting to know you better! Your boyfriend sounds like such a sweet guy, and you seriously made me want to visit California! Great post :)
Love this! Wow, you're one of 7?! That's craaazy. Also, I love that your name means darling. Lastly, I've never seen you in person but I'd say you're definitely photogenic!
Done. Let's be friends now. I loved all of this and I think I'm going to still your idea and do the same thing. Maybe even today. I'd go through and list all of the parts I love, but then I would just be repeating the whole post. You're too cute and funny and a talented writer, which basically means we need to be real-life friends NOW. Also, if it makes you feel better, Nataly and I totally talked about how much we love you and wished you were in SoCal. So technically you were there in spirit. Fly out to visit me so we can hang out!

Oh my gosh! I am SO excited, thanks Ali!!
Thank you for your sweet comment! And thanks for coming by!
I just read this as I was puttering around on your blog and I love it. Had we known we grew up so close to each other, I think we would have been great friends, especially since you're so good at making them and it's a bit harder for me. Now that you've graduated, do you think you'll stay in Nashville?
Lauren, this is so sweet! you are truly so kind in all of your comments, I love reading them! I have no doubt we could be friends IRL (because we are already bloggy friends). Honestly I don't know the answer to that question. It's only been one year since I graduated, and I do have a job/friends I love, but we'll see! Almost all my family is still in CA and I sure do miss it over there. So we'll see. Thanks for leaving a comment on this old post :)
