Well happy March to you! I don't know about you guys, but while January felt three months long, February went by in a snap! I guess having one less day really does make a difference ;)
I wasn't even particularly busy this past month, but every year it seems like as we inch closer to warmer weather, things start to pick up again. Last weekend we went to East Tennessee for what felt like our first "plans" of the entire year, a very very fun wedding.
I'm actually in the middle of an event-filled weekend now, because my sister is here! She flew in early yesterday morning, and we saw Kacey Musgraves at the Ryman last night which was IN.credible. I feel like my real Kacey Muscraze began right before Golden Hour came out (I mean...I themed an entire blog post around it) and culminated with the show last night. It has been SO cool to see the success of this album unfold, and how could I not be rooting whole-heartedly for a mega-talented, rule-breaking, badass female in country music, ya know? She has one of the most genuinely beautiful, unique voices out there right now.
Carina will be hanging out all weekend and we are headed to a surprise destination tomorrow morning, which hopefully I can tell you more about soon :)
Ok - clothes! I am once again, borrowing from my bf, and I will not stop (this tweet made me laugh out loud this week.) My boyfriend is a beautiful *actual* adult who has nice things like cashmere sweaters. All of mine are a polyester blend. My over-the-knee boots feel like the warmest shoes I own, so I've been wearing them a bunch lately. Last year I picked up a few skirts from LOFT, this being one of them, and it's never been featured on the blog! LOFT has a skirt selection that I really love - classic, work-friendly, but in trendy fabrics or prints that don't feel dowdy. I'll link some similar options in that widget.
The title of this post is not entirely relevant - though it is the title of a song I really like AND I suppose I am going on vacation in a mere 19 days. Have I mentioned this already? Art & I are going to South Africa to visit our friends that moved there last year. I am beyond excited and can't believe it's nearly here!
Have a lovely weekend!
