I broke my shopping fast last weekend, just to get a few pieces to update my wardrobe. I had been dying for a pleated/tutu-esque skirt forEVER. Which was appropriate, because I walked into Forever 21...got hit with a giant wave of "Forever 21xiety" (I am a doctor. Does this happen to anyone else? Too many things! I can't possibly look at them all!) but then I saw this skirt. Didn't really look at anything else, but a successful trip nonetheless.
I've been reading other blogs to inspire me to use what I already have in my wardrobe instead of just buying new stuff. Of course, part of that is investing in a few key pieces...what I needed was a statement necklace. I saw this beauty (also at F21) and actually said "That's the one." (At the risk of sounding incredibly shallow and dramatic...sorry, my life is more entertaining to me this way).
I thoroughly enjoyed wearing this outfit. It was actually comfortable and classy (win. WIN.) and felt the tiniest bit flapper-esque with the t-strap heels and pleats. Side-note: I will wear any t-strap shoe that has ever been made. I've been looking at Seychelles and absolutey drooling.

Oh Priya, I think twin souls is absolutely right. Pleats, mint green statement necklace, and t-straps? I'm a little bit in love with you. I know exactly what you mean about F21- it's impossible to go in there without feeling instantly overwhelmed, but I always just KNOW I'll walk out with something. So tragic, right?
