stolen skirts and snappy shots

As I've mentioned before, I have found that my favorite articles of clothing are the random ones that I've stolen/inherited/found from other people. This skirt is no exception. My mom had it at the house from India (a gift from my Uncle, I believe). I found it and thought, "Hey I just met you. And this is crazy" (couldn't help myself). What I really thought was: this is pretty, I want to wear it, and it might look a litle weird, but I like it. Isn't that what fashion is about?

In other news, the reason behind the wild offense of split bang in EVERY picture is that my bangs need a-cuttin very bad. I'll probably break out my safety scissors tonight.
Photo notes: Hunter took these shots again! He's getting even better, and bossy behind the camera (good thing for a photographer). After we took this pictures in the sweltering heat (thus the shade. I'm not sure if this was a good decision for the lighting in the picture, but for my health, it was) he told me I need to work on some new poses for my shots. So, I told him he could be completely in charge next time. Get ready for some unconventional fashion blogger shots!
Happy Friday to everyone! I start my new hostess job tonight, and I am excited and a little nervous! Thanks for reading!

This skirt is too pretty. I love random items like this, they always have so much more character than something just picked up at the mall. I think that's why I like thrifted items so much- they always feel like they have a story to them. Ha, I like that Hunter is being bossy! People don't understand how helpful it is to have a bossy photographer! I'm probably going to make T.J. start taking my pictures soon and I can only hope he does the same thing. Have fun at your new job!
